Galvin's Chance

Congratulations to all of the Galvin’s Chance apprentices who completed their pre-employment training and work experience placements successfully.

Several of the apprentices have already started full time work at locations including Galvin at Windows restaurant, Marriot Marble Arch and Hilton London Docklands. One apprentice also impressed the Springboard training team so much that they have employed him at Springboard HQ as an Administrator for the Into Work team.

Springboard, HCF and the students’ mentors are committed to supporting the other apprentices in their search for employment and have been working hard to secure jobs for all of the Galvin’s Chance students. Although the current turbulence of the job market has led to reduced opportunities, the support team will continue to match students up to existing vacancies with business partners and arrange interviews where possible.

Once they have found an employer they will continue their development with further part-time training at Westminster Kingsway College.

Galvin's Chance will continue to run in 2010 with funding for this year's programme to be raised at this summer's Mayfair Park and Tower Race on July 7th.
